Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your information.

Effective Date: January 1, 2023 · Last updated: August 27, 2026

Shigo Ad Server Solutions LTD ("we," "us," or "our") operates the shigotech.io website and the Shigo CTV ad tech platform (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website or use our platform.

The website and the platform process data very differently, so this policy addresses them separately. Items marked "Website" describe what happens when you visit shigotech.io; items marked "Platform" describe the ad-serving services we provide to our business clients. The website itself serves no advertising and sets no advertising cookies.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide (Website)

When you submit the contact form on our website, we collect your name, email address, company name, and the content of your message. The "Apply Now" buttons on our Careers page lead to the same form, so job applications are collected and handled the same way. The form also contains a hidden field that visitors never see; submissions that fill it are treated as automated spam and are not delivered.

Information You Provide (Platform)

  • Account registration details (name, email address, company name)
  • Billing and payment information
  • Platform configuration and campaign data

Information Collected Automatically (Website)

If — and only if — you accept analytics in our cookie banner, Google Analytics 4 collects usage data about your visit (pages visited, time spent on pages, device and browser information, and approximate geographic location derived from your IP address). If you decline, this data is not collected. See Section 4 for details.

Information Collected Automatically (Platform)

  • Device information (device type, operating system, browser type, screen resolution)
  • Usage data (features used, time spent)
  • IP address and approximate geographic location
  • CTV device identifiers and advertising IDs (where applicable)
  • Log data (server logs, access times, referring URLs)

Information from Third Parties (Platform)

  • Data from demand and supply partners integrated with our platform
  • Audience segment data from data management partners
  • Analytics data from third-party measurement providers

2. How We Use Information

Website

We use information collected through the website for the following purposes, each with its legal basis under the GDPR:

  • To respond to enquiries and job applications submitted through our contact form — legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries
  • To understand site traffic and improve the website, via Google Analytics 4 — legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time (see Section 4)
  • To filter automated spam submissions using the hidden form field described in Section 1 — legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the contact form usable and secure

Platform

We use information collected through the platform for the following purposes:

  • To operate, maintain, and improve our CTV ad tech platform
  • To serve, target, and measure advertising campaigns across connected TV environments
  • To provide real-time reporting, analytics, and optimization for publishers and advertisers
  • To manage user accounts and provide customer support
  • To process transactions and send related information
  • To detect, prevent, and address fraud, invalid traffic, and security issues
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
  • To communicate with you about updates, features, and promotional offers

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We may share your information in the following circumstances:

Advertising Partners

As a CTV ad tech platform operating SSP and DSP services, we share certain data with demand-side platforms, supply-side platforms, ad exchanges, and other advertising technology partners as necessary to facilitate programmatic ad transactions. This data may include device identifiers, content metadata, and audience segment information.

Analytics (Website)

The only analytics tool on this website is Google Analytics 4, and the recipient of that data is Google. Analytics runs only after you accept it in our cookie banner; if you decline, it never loads and no data is sent to Google. On the platform side, we may work with measurement providers to measure ad campaign performance for our clients.

Service Providers

We share data with trusted service providers who assist with hosting, data processing, payment processing, and other operational functions, subject to contractual obligations to protect your data. For the website specifically, messages submitted through our contact form (including job applications) are transmitted via Twilio SendGrid, a US-based email delivery provider, to an internal Shigo ad-operations mailbox.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information when required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

On This Website

This website sets no advertising cookies and uses no pixel tags. The only optional tool is Google Analytics 4, which is loaded — and may then set analytics cookies — only after you click "Accept" in our cookie banner. If you decline, Google Analytics is not loaded at all. Advertising-related consent signals (ad storage, ad user data, ad personalization) are never granted, whichever choice you make.

Your consent choice itself is stored in your browser's localStorage (not in a cookie) as a small record of what you chose and when. We treat that choice as valid for 12 months; after that, we ask you again.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page, which reopens the consent banner. Withdrawing consent stops analytics from that point onward.

The web fonts on this site are self-hosted, so viewing our pages does not send requests to Google Fonts or any other third-party font service.

On the Platform

As part of the ad-serving services we provide to our business clients, the Shigo platform uses identifiers and similar technologies to authenticate users and prevent fraud, deliver and measure advertising, and provide frequency capping and ad sequencing in CTV environments. These technologies operate within our clients' apps and inventory — not on this website.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Specifically:

  • Account data is retained for the duration of the business relationship and a reasonable period thereafter
  • Ad serving and campaign data is retained for up to 24 months for reporting and optimization purposes
  • Log-level data is retained for up to 12 months
  • Contact form submissions, including job applications, are delivered by email to an internal mailbox
  • Aggregated and anonymized data may be retained indefinitely

6. Your Rights

Under GDPR (European Economic Area)

If you are located in the EEA, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data
  • Data portability (receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format)
  • Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent (for website analytics, via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer)
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

Under CCPA (California)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information
  • Non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at [email protected]. We will respond to verifiable requests within the timeframes required by applicable law.

7. Children's Privacy

Shigo is committed to compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Our platform and services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected].

8. International Data Transfers

Shigo operates globally to facilitate CTV advertising transactions. Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from the laws of your jurisdiction.

For the website, the third-party recipients of personal data are Google (Google Analytics 4, only after you consent) and Twilio SendGrid (contact-form email delivery), each of which may process data in the United States.

For the platform, when we transfer data internationally we implement safeguards that include:

  • Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, where in place with the relevant partner
  • Data processing agreements with our service providers, where required
  • Technical and organizational measures to protect data in transit and at rest

9. Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption, access controls, regular security assessments, and secure data storage practices. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on our website with a revised effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
